With this CD, Gianluca Campi wishes to pay a tribute to the great violinist Niccolò Paganini, and increase the prestige of the accordion: in fact, he says that in Italy the Accordion is still mainly considered a popolar instrument, whereas abroad, escially in France, Germany, and Eastern Europe, it enjoys higher artistic dignity, like the violin and guitar.

Gianluca Campi's musicality and natural interpretative ability anable him to perform extremely difficult and very complicated pieces with the mastery that only great artists possess. Careful research and his love of music have stimulated Campi to transcribe and arrange various works by Paganini, with the aim of conveying the extraordinary musical adventure of the great Genoese violinist.

The expression marks in Paganini's original scores have been deliberately emphasized, and often even contrasted (in the repeats), so that the listener can enjoy the extraordinary magic held in the music of the composer who always varied repeated phases in his own performances.
